At Focus Accountancy our clients are at the heart of everything we do, and at this time of the year, we would of course like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Traditionally people send out Christmas cards for this very purpose, but we have been doing things a little bit differently for many years now.
Because we are committed to being 100% paperless, we have been sending out electronic Christmas cards via email and social media. This saves not only paper but also money, which we have donated to charities that support the homeless.
This year we have been supporting FareShare South West, a charity committed to fighting hunger and tackling food waste at the same time.
They do this by saving good food from going to waste, redistributing it around the South West to charities, schools and community groups, who turn it into meals for vulnerable people.
Earlier in the year, our MD Barry and his wife Marianna cycled 42 miles across the Mendips with Break the Cycle to raise money for FareShare, and we received this thank you card from the charity:
We hope that you agree that this is a very worthwhile recipient of our money.
We will be donating via 'The Big Give Christmas Challenge' between the 28th of November and the 5th of December when donations will be doubled by their generous match funders.
